About Us
A great school culture thrives when we make an effort to recognize our students for their hard work and achievements. When we celebrate wins, big or small, it helps everyone feel appreciated and motivated. Throwing in fun events and activities also brings people together, making our school a place where students can bond and enjoy themselves. At Lincoln, we aim to connect our building together in as many ways as possible.
Plant Show: Each spring, students in kindergarten through 4th grade receive a free plant to nurture over the summer. At the start of the school year, students are encouraged to bring their plants back to Lincoln to be judged. Winners have the exciting opportunity to showcase their green thumbs at the city-wide plant show.
Lincoln’s Spring Carnival: Hosted by our PTA, this fun-filled event brings families together for an evening of games, delicious food, exciting raffles and unforgettable memories.
Star Student Assemblies: Each month, we celebrate students who shine! Grade-level teams gather to recognize those demonstrating the 3Be’s, excelling academically, achieving perfect attendance and earning special awards like Star Student, given to one student per classroom.
Study Connection: This after-school tutoring program pairs students with caring community volunteers for one-on-one support in literacy and math. These connections foster learning, confidence and meaningful mentorship.
Unity Week: A special spirit week where students come together to take a stand against bullying and celebrate kindness, respect and inclusion.
Lunch Buddy Program with Big Brother/Big Sister: Community volunteers spend quality time with students during lunch, sharing meals, playing games and building friendships.
Field Trips: Learning comes to life outside the classroom! From JA BizTown and the Fort Wayne Zoo to the Black Pine Animal Sanctuary, the Embassy Theater and seasonal adventures like the pumpkin patch, our students enjoy a variety of hands-on educational experiences.
Renaissance Y Night: A fantastic family night at the Renaissance YMCA! This fun-filled event provides an opportunity for all our families—especially those in our detached district area—to come together and enjoy an evening of community and connection.
Spotlight Nights: Families are invited to engage in hands-on learning and enjoy musical performances as grade-level teams (K & 1, 2 & 3 and 4 & 5) showcase student talents and classroom activities.
Positive Parent Contacts: Every month, Lincoln families can expect at least one positive message from a staff member! Whether through ParentSquare, email or a phone call, we love sharing great news about our students.
